Cat Show News

FIFe Garden of England Show, Worthing. 14 August 2010.  This was Aimee's first show, at 5 months old,  so we treated it as a practice run.  She did very well, she had a very complimentary report from the judge, and was graded Ex 1. She also got her first rosette, when she was  'nominated',  which was a fantastic start to showing :-)

Pictures below, (taken with my i-phone - so a little fuzzy as there wasnt enough light) shows Aimee being judged, and with her first rosette. Unfortunately, she really had had enough by the time the second picture was taken.  It was a very long day and we were pleased to get home.  We are looking forward to her next show, this time she will be classed as an adult, rather than a kitten

GCCF Wessex Cat Club Show, Southampton. 05 March 2011.   Aimee's second cat show, and this time she was one day under a year old, so showing as an adult cat.  She had a fabulous day, and came home with 6 rosettes!! One of which was her first Challenge Certificate, so she's now on her way to becoming a Champion like her mum!

Pictures below (sorry, iphone ones again!) show Aimee with her rosettes.  What a clever and beautiful little cat she is!
GCCF East Sussex Cat Show, Maidstone, Kent. 09 April 2011.   Another GCCF show and Aimee is starting to get into the swing of them now.  This time she was awarded her second Challenge Certificate (only need one more of these, before she is made a 'Champion') and another Best of Breed.  She also  came second in two of her side classes.  We are so pleased with her achievements so far.  Go Aimee! See below for another couple of show photos.

GCCF Kentish Cat Society Show, Maidstone, Kent. 15 October 2011.  Back to Maidstone for Aimee's third GCCF show. She was more relaxed at this show than the other 2, but she couldn't resist a little hiss at the judges that we saw her with.  Still, hissing or no hissing, Aimee won her third Challenge Certificate, which means she is now Champion Melisani Aimee.  On top of that, she also won Best of Breed, and that was against a cat that was already a Champion, so we were really pleased about that too. All in all a great day for Aimee, and a great acheivement that she has made Champion in three straight shows!  We're very proud :-))
